Lilyana Bekic


Bio  

Lilyana Bekic received her MFA in Jewelry and Metalwork at San Diego State University in 2007, and since then has been teaching at SDSU and Long Beach City College.  Her work has been shown in numerous regional and national juried and invitational exhibitions, and included in several publications, and most recently Lark Books’ 500 Felt Objects, 500 Plastic Jewelry Designs, 500 Knives, and in the January 2010 issue of San Diego Home, Garden, and Lifestyles magazine.  She has received several awards, including Juror’s Choice Award for the Art of Fine Craft 2009 and the 2007 SNAG Educational Endowment Award. Upcoming shows include Counterflux:  Defensive Ornament at G. Gibson Gallery in Seattle and Fabric-Free Fashion at Visions Art Museum in San Diego.   See her resume here.
