Bio
Anne Wolf is a nationally recognized metals artist and photographer from Southern California. Her work has been shown in venues from the Deutsches Goldschmiedehaus in Hanau, Germany, to the National Ornamental Metals Museum in Memphis, Tennessee. Recent shows in California include “New West Coast Design” at Velvet da Vinci, San Francisco, and a solo show at Noel-Baza Fine Art in San Diego. Anne Wolf received her MFA in 1999 at San Diego State University, and currently teaches the art and craft of metalsmithing at the college level and at private workshops. In fall 2011, Anne will be teaching art history in Florence, Italy as part of a Southwestern College study abroad trip.

Artist Statement:
"I am committed to the format of functional craft as a vehicle for
artistic expression. I continue to be inspired by the challenge of
creating work that functions, communicates elemental emotions on a
level deeper than words, and connects with the traditions of
silversmiths throughout history."
